Pre-Mediation for Family Dispute Resolution includes your pre-mediation session to provide risk screening and preparation for family dispute resolution.
This is a mandatory first step in the family dispute resolution process and is designed to achieve four objectives:
- make sure that family dispute resolution is safe and suitable for your situation
- make sure that you understand the family dispute resolution process options and get your consent to participate
- discuss with you your situation, any referrals you need to assist with any issues and to help you to properly prepare for family dispute resolution
- help you to prepare for family dispute resolution by discussing with you what issues with the other person you would like to resolve, the options you have considered and what matters to you
All services are child informed which means our practitioners will remind you to consider the best interests of any children who will be impacted by the decisions you make.
