Info about Interact Support and ICDRS

Welcome to Interact Support

We help families, communities, and clubs resolve conflict safely, affordably, and with care.

At Interact Support Inc, we believe no one should face conflict alone. Our accredited mediators provide practical, accessible pathways to help people move past disputes and rebuild relationships.

Who We Are

Founded in 2015, Interact Support is a registered not-for-profit delivering family law support and community dispute resolution services across Australia.

We work closely with Mediation Institute and other partners to ensure high-quality, professional conflict resolution services are available to everyone—whether you live in a city, the bush or a remote town.

Why Mediation Matters

Conflict, if left unresolved, can divide families, break down clubs, and create stress in workplaces.

That’s where mediation helps. It offers:

  • A neutral space to talk and be heard.
  • Affordable solutions compared to legal battles.
  • Safety with risk screening and confidentiality are core requirements.
  • Faster outcomes that keep relationships intact.

About ICDRS – Interact Community Dispute Resolution Service

ICDRS is designed for community groups, clubs, organisations and community members facing conflict.

Disputes can often drive away volunteers, break committees apart, or even threaten the survival of a group.

With ICDRS, communities have access to:

  • Professional mediators to resolve disputes peacefully.
  • Practical tools to strengthen communication.
  • Support that helps clubs thrive instead of divide.

Case Story: Surf Life Saving Queensland & ICDRS Collaboration

SLS QLD

At Interact Support, we’re proud to partner with Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that brings the Interact Community Dispute Resolution Service (ICDRS) directly to surf lifesaving clubs.

Why This Matters for Surf Life Saving Clubs

Volunteer-based organisations like surf lifesaving clubs thrive on teamwork, trust, and community spirit. However, disputes can sometimes arise between members, committees, volunteers or community members. Left unresolved, these conflicts can:

  • Divide committees and volunteer teams.
  • Impact the well-being of members.
  • Reduce community participation and retention.

That’s where ICDRS steps in.

  • Protect their members’ wellbeing.
  • Strengthen trust between volunteers and committees.
  • Stay focused on what matters most – saving lives and serving the community.

  • Protect their members’ wellbeing.
