Why take these courses?

Interact Support provides post separation and interpersonal education to help you cope with stress and negotiate better outcomes for yourself and your family.  

These courses are respectful, no blame and skills based.

They are designed to help you to learn skills such as emotional regulation even when under stress. 

You will learn how to be more creative and successful when problem solving so you don’t get stuck in conflict.

In the New Ways course you will learn how to be more resilient and how to teach your children to be more resilient.  Resilience is a skills. Some people learn to be resilient as children, others need to learn as adults. 

Online Learning

We use online learning rather than workshops so if you have access to the internet you can take these courses. There is a lot to take in and that doesn’t always work with the social pressures and dictated timetable of a workshop.  You can take your own time to complete the course you choose to do.

Communication Skills

We encourage you to practice what you learn on the course. Practice with friends, practice at work, practice at the shops. 

If you don’t practice what you’re learning you won’t really be able to apply the new ways of maintaining self-control in challenging situations. If it is a habit it will be easier to do, even in stressful situations. All our courses include practical exercises you can apply with your family or colleagues and then review the results to the tweaks you’re making. 

Practice, Review, Adjust and Continue to practice. That’s the way you learn skills.  No skills development occurs without PRAC. You will just go back to old habits unless you practice enough to create new habits

We use technology because it allows us to be more accessible, flexible and responsive. If you are in a situation where you can't access a computer or are worried about your computer skills get in touch. We may be able to help.

It only takes one

It only takes one person in a conversation to change the outcome. Using techniques we teach, you can learn how to stop situations from escalating, calm other people down so they don't lose it so easily and have more productive "difficult conversations".

Certificates of Completion

As a minimum you'll get a certificate of completion. In the courses we offer in collaboration with Mediation Institute you may get a qualification, statement of attainment or be eligible for accreditation.
