Approach

Hara Syros assists families experiencing divorce, separation and family transitions to find appropriate resolutions to disputes concerning their; children, parenting arrangements and division of assets and liabilities. Her aim is to help families’ establish co-operative parenting arrangements for the future and reduce conflict by mutually building positive relationships and outcomes that consider the best interest of the children. Hara’s interests also extend to high conflict matters and the strategic approaches to dealing with high conflict personalities in mediation to facilitate positive resolution of disputes.

As a Child Inclusive Mediator, Hara provides interventions for parents who have separated and are in dispute. She consults with children and engages in strategic and therapeutic feedback conversations with the child’s parents in a mediation process to help the parents make decisions in relation to post-separation parenting and children’s adjustment. Hara has a particular interest in working with families to identify parenting styles and their impact on a child’s development. Her primary aim is to enhance the health of children pre and post separation and promote on-going respectful relationships between parents and their children.

Hara provides family dispute resolution, collaborative mediation and child-inclusive mediation  support for couples, families, adolescents and children.
