The Lawyer, The Law and Mediation
This session is a discussion between Paul Kenna Law and Joanne Law about the law and mediation.
Joanne is Mediation Institute Director, Interact Support co-founder and Mediator Musings Podcast creator – Joanne Law. Joanne is a Mediator, Family Dispute Resolution and Coach.
Paul is also part of Mediation Institute, Interact Support co-founder and an experienced lawyer, mediator, family dispute resolution practitioner and Family Law Arbitrator.
Paul and Joanne are a couple and live and breathe mediation and dispute resolution.
In this session they will be discussing answers to questions submitted by the public on issues related to resolving civil disputes such as neighbour disputes, aged care disputes, commercial disputes etc.
- Is it better to go straight to court or to try mediation first?
- What damage, if any, does trying mediation do to your case if not successful?
- What is the success rate of mediation? Does it have good odds of success?
- What is success in Mediation anyway?
In July Paul and Joanne will discuss some of the differences between the legal approach and Family Law Mediation when dealing with Family Law Disputes.
